Argentina vs Jordan: a final tune-up at the Monumental
Scaloni hands minutes to Garnacho and Nico González in a low-key World Cup tune-up against Jordan in Buenos Aires.

Scaloni hands minutes to Garnacho and Nico González in a low-key World Cup tune-up against Jordan in Buenos Aires.
With the knockout rounds looming, Lionel Scaloni used the friendly window in Buenos Aires to give his squad a final 90 minutes of rhythm.
Ángel Di María opened the scoring on 22 minutes with a trademark curling left-footed strike. A triple change on the hour mark introduced Alejandro Garnacho, Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez, the latter heading in a Nahuel Molina cross with 12 minutes left to seal a 2–0 win.
Jordan, organised under Hussein Ammouta, made Argentina work for spells but ultimately offered little going forward. Far more important than the result: every starter came off without complaint, and Scaloni now has his strongest possible XI available for the next World Cup match.
