Three Primera names are on the verge of life-changing moves.

The transfer window has its first Argentine pulse, and it is loud.

River Plate are closing in on a marquee return: a former canterano, now starring in MLS, has agreed personal terms on a 30-month deal back at the Monumental. Boca, never to be outdone, are pushing for a Brazilian No. 9 to replace last season's departed striker, with negotiations described by sources as "advanced but not done."

The Premier League raid, however, is the headline story. A top-six English club has tabled a bid for a 21-year-old Primera midfielder valued at €40m by his current side. The release clause sits at €55m, but the player's preference, according to those close to him, is to make the move now.
